Features

  • Reads your EPUB books aloud with your device's text-to-speech, highlighting each sentence and keeping it in view as it reads.
  • Supports vertical text and ruby (furigana) in Japanese books. Ruby is used as the reading so words aren't read twice, and you can add your own pronunciations for names and terms.
  • Choose the speed, pitch, and voice. Per-book voice settings, a sleep timer, and a playback queue for listening to several books or chapters in a row.
  • Adjust text size, line spacing, margins, and colors (light, sepia, dark), and switch between page turning and scrolling. Table of contents, in-book search, and saved positions.
  • Add books by picking files or from the list of a folder you've linked. Organize your library with folders, tags, favorites, and reading status.
  • See how long you've read and listened, and look back over your playback history.
  • Listening with the screen off or while using other apps (background playback) is free for the first 3 days after installing. After that, watch an ad for 2 hours of use, or choose a premium plan. Free without ads while TalkBack is on.
  • Your books and history stay on your device. Export a backup file and restore it later. Available in Japanese and English.
